Face pretty much finished. Now time to work on shirt and then guitar. I am not too excited about the guitar. But there is nothing like an artistic challenge.

Background is finished. Then started the face. Wouldn't feel good about the rest of the project unless the face is to my liking.

I have been spending a lot of time on the face. I started the face a few days back and have spent a few late nights working working on it. Its got to feel right before I can rest.

Ok, time to add some color. I want a country music color scheme. Tans, oranges, yellow, etc. And for me, background is always first. The back ground has to placed before I feel comfortable messing with the focus of my project.

Time to give this piece a rough texture feel. I want the background only right now to be rough. Then we will see how I feel when it comes to painting the body.

The Darius Rucker face - up close and personal.

Sketch finished.
You can almost hear the music coming from his mouth. Let's just hope we can once I put paint on this canvas.

Let's get this party started!

This will be the first of, I hope, many paintings shots I will be able to share with you and my hope is to allow you a sneak-peek into the progression of the pieces I put out.

Here is Darius Rucker I wanted to do. Not a commission piece and will eventually go up for sale.

Since he is now a country singer (I actually a lot of country with his Hootie music), I figured I would create a piece and if no one wanted to purchase it, I would eventually put it in my music/pool room I hope to have one day.
